I started Backboard Basics as a means to give back to the community. The current culture of basketball is privatized and is increasingly less available to everyone. I've played basketball my whole life and I want to give every bit of knowledge and love I have to younger generations. I will work to spread Backboard Basics to as many communities and as many kids as possible. Drill by drill, and practice by practice, together we can rebuild the culture of basketball together.

At Backboard Basics, we provide kids of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels with an affordable and accessible opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed through basketball. We believe every player deserves the chance to develop their skills and discover a love for the game, regardless of their experience level.

Our coaching philosophy centers on building a strong foundation of fundamental basketball skills that translate directly to on-court success. Through structured instruction, positive reinforcement, and engaging drills, we help players develop confidence in their abilities while having fun and making new friends.

Our coaches have experience working with hundreds of young athletes, from first-time players learning the basics to high-level high school athletes refining their game. We understand that every player develops at their own pace, and we are committed to creating a supportive environment where everyone can improve.

While basketball skills are an important part of our program, our focus extends beyond the court. We strive to help players develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of community, qualities that will benefit them throughout their lives.

At Backboard Basics, we're not just teaching basketball. We're helping young athletes build character, form lasting friendships, and develop the skills they need to succeed both on and off the court.
